Happy Easter Monday! Did you and your family celebrate the holiday with candy, pie, and other sweets like my family did?  Did you remember to brush and floss your teeth before bed so that sugar didn’t sit on your teeth all night?  Sugary foods and sweets are a delicious part of our diet, but consuming too much affects more than just the number on the scale.  Eating sugary foods can lead to cavities and tooth decay.  Dr. Komyathy recommends swishing with water or chewing sugar-free gum after indulging in a sugary treat.  It is also important to brush and floss your teeth twice a day to get all the sugar off your teeth.  A fluoride mouthwash might be helpful for children and other patients who tend to get a lot of cavities.  Call the office, or click the link above to set up a cleaning appointment today!  Be sure to ask Dr. Komyathy and his staff how you are doing with your dental hygiene and if there is anything you can use to help keep your smile healthy and bright!
